Airbus will stop producing the legendary A380
Airbus A380 was introduced just
over 10 years ago and immediately attracted the attention of airline
enthusiasts. This is the largest passenger plane that can transport about 850
passengers. Its size is not the only thing that attracts attention. It is made
with the latest available technology, and for certain things it was necessary
"creative" thinking and discovering new solutions.
There are many documentaries for this aircraft, and surely the most interesting of all the videos that can be seen are the first-class first-class rooms that come with a lot of space for the traveler, comfortable seat, bed, table, TV and the like.
However, this aircraft is proving to be quite inefficient. Its maintenance is more expensive, and also fuel consumption, and especially compared to some of the competitive aircraft that have decided not to go with such great designs.
One of the biggest clients of Airbus when it comes to A380 is the airline company Emirates. They reduced the number of ordered A380 aircrafts, so Airbus decided to interrupt the production and supply of other companies.
The company says that they will continue production until 2021 when all ordered models would be completed, after which they will no longer produce the aircraft. This aircraft will still be operational for many more years. Those already in service will continue to fly, and from Airbus will provide the necessary support.
