Facebook has introduced an opportunity to publish 3D images

Dual cameras are becoming more and more common at smartphones. Recently Samsung introduced a smartphone with 4 cameras on the back of the device, providing some effects that were not possible with one camera, or one lens.

These cameras have different lenses, one of which can be standard, while the second is wide-angle, giving you the ability to save two separate images with a slightly different range of the image being taken, as well as its background.

Facebook using artificial intelligence can use dual camera images and publish it in 3D. This means that when moving the phone, that is, the cursor with the mouse on the desktop, the image will start showing from different angles, and this will change the background that is displayed.

From the company they compare this by looking through the window and changing the angle of view. Not every part of the background is "real", so artificial intelligence manages to "guess" what is in that part of the picture, based on information from the dual camera.

This opportunity will be available to all users in the following period. To post a 3D image, all that needs to be done is to launch a new post, to select the new 3D Photo feature that is available along with the current Photo / Video, GIF, Check In, Live Video and more.
